...About Us Today, Good Home Construction has grown to include a team of full-time tradesmen, an interior designer and an architect consultant.
Management Team Bios:
Chuck Kensicki – Chuck is the managing officer of Good Home Construction. He is the face and talent of the company, working onsite with his crew and engaging with clients on all phases of the project. Growing up in Southern California, he was always fascinated by building and construction. In fact, his favorite class in middle school and high school was woodshop. He spent his college years working as a student carpenter for California State University, Fullerton, where he got his BS in International Business. Since then, with over 14 years of construction experience and having personally renovated eight of his own homes himself (five of which are Mills Act recipients), he knows what homeowners go through when their personal space gets torn up and put back together. He understands the frustrations that generally come with the dust, budget concerns, and selecting the best design and materials to use. In addition to building and renovating, Chuck enjoys water sports, music, wine, and getting to meet all kinds of people and lifestyles through his work.
Katherine Wu – Katherine manages the backend details of Good Home Construction, which includes the website and blog site, business planning and marketing, labor relations, accounting, insurance liaison, and legal operations of the business. Along with Chuck, she has helped him restore their homes. She conducts the research on the historical details needed to bring the vintage home back to its original glory, and often does the design, space planning, and color and finish material selections. She enjoys art, history and culture, independent films, and photography. Katherine graduated cum laude with a BA in Economics from Boston University.
